Jon's work in the insurance industry spans three decades:
- He provides regulatory assistance and drafts insurance policies, including special risk policies and Affordable Care Act health insurance policies, offered by leading insurance companies including ACE Insurance Company, Companion Life, AIG, and Gerber Life.
- Jon supported North American venture stakeholders who developed innovative healthcare delivery systems in Cancun, Cozumel, Puerto Vallarta, and Guadalajara, Mexico. Among his chief contributions: he helped identify and implement operational protocols, performance criteria and payment methodologies. He also drafted and negotiated network provider agreements with physicians, community hospitals and clinics, in coordination with Mexican business partners and local counsel.
- He helped design and implement employee health solutions for international bodies including the World Bank, United Nations, Organization of American States, and the Pan American Health Organization.
- Jon has written articles on subjects ranging from the security of humanitarian workers to war risk insurance, kidnap, ransom & extortion coverage. His contribution to the literature has been noted by the Geneva Centre for Security Policy, in its 2011 Security Management Initiative policy paper: “Can you Get Sued? Legal Liability of Humanitarian Aid Organisations Toward their Staff”. See also
